Summer means long lazy days, fun with family and friends, and eating delicious local produce and home baked goods. Farmers Markets can be found all over central Ohio this time of year. At Village Communities, Columbus, Ohio condominiums, we love perusing the offerings, trying new items, and savoring our weekly favorites. Which markets have you been to? Which ones are you going to add to your list to try? We’ve scoured the city to bring you a list of the various Farmers Markets and the days they are open. Have a delicious summer!
The Hilliard Farm Market is open on Tuesdays from 4-7pm. Find everything from homemade soaps to sauces and meats.
Take a drive out to beautiful Granville on Saturdays until October 28th from 8:30am-12pm and take in the offerings from over 60 vendors at the Granville Farmers Market held downtown. The Chamber of Commerce even offers a 2nd market on Tuesday in the Ross IGA parking lots.
Head out to Westerville for the Uptown Westerville Farmers’ Market now through October. Held every Wednesday from 3-6pm you’ll find fruits, veggies, honey and fish, along with many other goodies.
Not only can you view butterflies, stunning plants and flowers, and amazing topiaries at the Franklin Park Conservatory this summer, you can shop at the Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 3:30-6:30pm. The Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers Market has local produce, food trucks, and weekly activities. Make this an afternoon event!
The Powell Farmers’ Market is open on Saturdays from 9-12pm on Liberty Street. Work your way through the Market and then spend the afternoon in Powell.
The Marysville Farmers Market is every Saturday through October 14th from 8-11am. Many of the vendors are from Union County, with locally sourced items.
The Clintonville Farmers’ Market runs through November 18th, right along High street in Clintonville. This is the market’s 15th season. This is a true producer-only market.
Are Thursdays your market days? Then head out to the New Albany Farmers Market from 4-7pm to find seasonal offerings, hand crafted products, produce, and more. Listen to music, try the food trucks, ad shop at the 60+ merchants. They also offer an indoor market monthly during the winter.
The Worthington Farmers Market is the largest market in central Ohio, with over 70 vendors. There are so many local goods offered here weekly, making it a great place to find unique items. Walk downtown Worthington on Saturdays from 8am-12pm through October and then enjoy the winter market at The Shops at Worthington Place.
